The Synerway Virtual Appliance (SVA)

Take the many advantages of a Synerway backup Appliance (a simple-to-use solution, no compatibility issues, a powerful backup and restoration engine, straightforward user interface) and fit them into your choice of virtual environment and you have the best of both worlds – a genuine and complete virtual backup solution without the costs and technological constraints commonly associated with hardware installations.

Synerway has created a virtualised version of its Appliance – the SVA. This Appliance has exactly the same feature set as its physical counterpart. It is simple and straightforward to install into your virtualized environment (VMware, Hyper-V).

If you do not have a virtualized environment, Synerway has a solution: the ”SVA Pack” which, in addition to the SVA, also includes an integrated open-source virtualized environment.

Both these versions enable you to log onto your virtual Appliance via a web interface web as with the physical Appliance.

Each SVA is installed as part of a subscription agreement which enables the protection of up to 1 TB of data (with unlimited system and application agents for your protected virtual and physical machines), full hotline support and all upgrades. For more storage space, simply install additional SVAs.

Security and performance.

The SVA is a powerful and versatile solution equipped with a stable Linux kernel which shields virus attacks. Backed up data is always encrypted and compressed at source. The quality of its hardware and software components makes for trouble-free backup and restorations task processing. Its user-friendly interface helps to simplify your configuration management and lower the solution’s TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
