Extended Supervision and centralized Administration
 
The new Synerway RBM for the Supervision and centralized Administration of a Synerway Appliance pool
The new Synerway RBM, version 3.1 is dedicated to the supervision and centralized administration of a Synerway Appliance pool spread over several remote sites. Supervision and administration tasks are performed from a centralized site.
Each Synerway Appliance is configured to be declared in the RBM interface. The central administrator is informed automatically when a new Appliance is deployed on a given site.
The centralised site displays all supervised Synerway Appliances deployed on remote sites.
 
The collection and centralization of information are performed using a secure ftp connection initiated in each supervised Synerway Appliance (non intrusive).
 
The solution is deployed over a company network and ensures :
The consolidation of a pool of remote supervised Synerway Appliance,
the centralisation and control of remote management tasks of one or more selected Synerway Appliances,
the logical regrouping of remote sites of supervised Synerway Appliances,
the ability to focus in on backups, alarms and reports.
With no hardware modifications whatsoever.
The new Synerway RBM version V3.1 completes the supervision tasks which were already available with the following administrative features :
Shutdown and restart of a Appliance or a group of Synerway Appliance,
Display Synerway Appliance update parameters,
Transfer Appliance backup profiles from one Synerway Appliance to another,
Restart a backup,
Sort backups based on their history and status (successful backups, lost backups or backups in error…),
Schedule security backups,
Display retention periods,
Supervise the storage status on a Synerway Appliance including :
 
  • the status and the occupation of the file space, ASM, FileSafe Repository, eVolume,
  • the status and the configuration of to physical media and network externalizations,
  • the migration and drive statuses.
