Continuous data protection (CDP)

When production constraints are high, backup windows reduced, restoration opportunities hard to manage, operational downtime expensive, Synerway sends in its Advanced Pack modules, a real-time block mode protection solution for applications.

The advantages of the Advanced Pack module

Real-time backup (CDP) of all disk writes on the Synerbox.

Block mode backup to avoid any network impact. In this way, only modifications within files are considered. Backup data flow remains very low and perfectly compatible with production activities.

Restoration possible at any moment, from any point in time.

« Snapshots » ensure a coherent versioning of backed up information for a date-based restoration (virus attacks, corrupt mail server etc.)

Synerway has a series of modules which use the Snapshot technique for file servers and MS Exchange or Lotus Notes mail servers, and databases such as MS SQL Server (Advanced Pack for Exchange, Advanced Pack for Lotus Notes, Advanced Pack for SQL Server).
